Executive Summary
I am currently attending Towson University’s College of Business and Economics as a Marketing student and I am a candidate for graduation in December 2011. While attending school full-time and working I have managed to commit and maintain a GPA of 3.0. The experience has taught me time-management skills, discipline and has shown me the value of education.
Within my internship at Orion Printers Parts and Support and at my position with FedEx Office, I have learned about working in a professional setting and have been able to use my education, training and experience as tools in many ways. At Orion I have had the opportunity to better my researching skills learned in 'Market Research and Forecasting' with the responsibility for researching products from the perspective of a technician, asking "will I be able to fix this and make a profit in a re-sale?" and from the perspective of a customer "what do I want and why do I want it?" Another aspect of my internship with Orion printers and parts was developing email marketing templates. Here I was able to apply knowledge I accumulated during an 'e-Marketing' class. The templates are showcased with the portfolio under the 'Technology' page.
During my time with FedEx Office as a Customer Service Coordinator, I have gained a lot of hands on experience and training in the areas of customer service, production and shipping. As a FedEx employee you are held to high standards that I believe have contributed to and molded my work ethic. I am responsible for consulting with customers in regards to their printing and shipping needs which range from simple to extremely complex.
